Introduction
In DaVinci-Version 1027 the GenVAS-Application has been extended: It is now able to listen to a specific CETS-socket. This listens to requests from the "Central European Touristic Solution" (CETS), a central reservation system for travel agencies.
This document describes the correct way of configuring the GenVAS-Service for CETS in Version 1028.
CETS Configuration of GenVAS-Services in KUONI environment
Current situation - Two instances of GenVAS
Currently Kuoni runs 2 different instances of GenVAS-services; one connects to the ROTUNDA/INTENS- the other to the MANTA-database.
GenVAS-Service / Instance 1 connects to the ROTUNDA/INTENS-database
EXAMPLE (as situation was reproduced in Bewotec environment)
GenVAS-Service / Instance 2 connects to the MANTA-database
EXAMPLE (as situation was reproduced in Bewotec environment)
Configuration of the CETS-settings for GenVAS-Instance connected to Manta-database
In Version 1028 the configuration of the CETS-Settings CAN be made via the Terminal-mode of GenVAS.
Shut-down both GenVAS instances
Start GenVAS in Terminal Mode
Open Settings for Services and define CETS-Settings in Commandline for MANTA-SERVICE
Manta Service
-Db:DSN=Datasourcename;UID=sa;PWD= -port:Genesis-Socket-Port -CETSPort :700 -Pipe:GenVasPipe2
Use "-CETSPort:Portnumber" to define the port for the CETS-SOCKET in the according service.
Restart of GenVAS-Service Instances
Connection test
Start GenVAS in Terminal mode and connect to the different GenVAS-Services:
First Terminal connects to ROTUNDA/INTENS-Service
Second Terminal connects to MANTA-Service
TEST-Request from CETS-INTERFACE:
The Terminal-Mode of the correct GenVAS-Instance shows the Thread:
The response appears in CETS:
TEST-Request from GENESIS to Manta-Database:
Threads appear in the Terminal-Mode
Response is displayed in Genesis:
TEST-Request from GENESIS to ROTUNDA/INTENS-Database:
