Packages created in DaVinci can be accessed in Genesis in the same way other services are selected, via Service Selection.
Scenario
Mr and Mrs Stevenson would like to book a package holiday in Grenada. They will be travelling with their three year old daughter Sophie.
They are interested in the 09 day Spice Island Beach Package which they have seen published in the Bewo 2010/2012 brochure. They would like to travel on the 9th September 2012.

To select the 09 day Spice Island Beach Package:

  1. Right Click on the required Service Line and select Service Selection.
  2. Select Bewo12/13 > The Americas > Caribbean > Grenada > 20 Packages.


Packages available in Grenada within the brochure are displayed.

  1. Select the 09 day Spice Island Beach Package (GNDPSPIISL).


Components of the package are displayed, including flights, hotels, transfers and excursions.
Mr and Mrs Stevenson would like to travel on the 9th September 2012. The Travel Period field will display a list of valid travel dates.

  1. Select the Travel Period dropdown.


The 9th of September 2012 is a valid travel date.
Select the package and the service type for each component is displayed.

  1. Select 09.09.2012 – 17.09.2012 from the Travel Period list.


The Stevensons would like to book the Hotel Coconut Grove.
In this package one of three hotels can be selected.An optional excursion is available.Flights and transfers are not changeable in this package.




  1. Select the Hotel Coconut Grove.


They would also like to book an excursion. They have a choice of two dates, the 11th September or the 13th September.

  1. Select the Spice Island Excursion departing on the 11th September 2012.

The hotel Coconut Grove and the Spice Island excursion have been selected.

  1. Click on the 09 day Spice Island Beach Package,
  2. Click on the GNDPSPIIL


The service types for each service line will be automatically taken over into the package booking. The service types can be changed if available as an option, for example our client may wish to upgrade their flights from economy to business.

Select the 09 day Spice Island Beach Package and the GNDPSPIISL booking code and the service types are carried over to the package.
The Stevensons would prefer a Bungalow Deluxe Sea View (BD01) rather than the Double Standard Sea View (DS01). This can be changed:

  1. Click on the Hotel Coconut Grove hotel.



  1. Select Bungalow Deluxe Sea View.
  2. Select Insert.


The package selections have been entered in the booking.


  1. Select BA (Booking Request)


If a charter flight is being used as part of the package a seat map will appear as illustrated below.

To select passenger seats:

  1. Select a passenger and then select a seat.
  2. Repeat for each passenger.



  1. Select OK.


In this example prices appear by:
Service line
Individual passenger
Total package

To book this package:

  1. Enter B (Booking) in the Command field.
