  1. Introduction

This document describes the setup of the insurance module and its functionality.

  1. Setup

    1. DaVinci - Settings

Within the settings two new flags have been implemented. <DaVinci> <Booking Server> <Insurances>

  • Hinzufügen der Auto.-Versicherung nur über die Anforderung prüfen

If this flag is ticked, GenVas is checking if within the booking an insurance service already exists, if so the insurance dialogue will not pop up again.
Presumably this flag should be ticked for CNX

  • Versicherungsmodul aktivieren

With this flag you activate the insurance module, this means that all booking codes with the requirement "V" will be shown in the insurance module.
This flag needs to be ticked to get the insurance module activated.

    1. DaVinci – Booking Codes - Insurances

For all different types of insurances you need to enter a booking code as you do for all other TO products. The requirement needs to be "V" for insurances.
As an example I entered "All in traveler"

  • Leistung nicht buchbar nach x Tagen: This entry should be flagged as with this flag you define, that this booking code can not be booked x days after booking date.
  • _Keine Berechnung für die RRV:_If this flag is ticked the service will not be used as a calculation basis for the RRV calculation. This flag makes sense if different insurances will be booked and as well for quick sales product.

In this example the service type "T" has been chosen, codename "Traveller"

To the booking code "All in traveller" I linked a price table "All in traveller" with the following details.

Details of the price table:

Calculation basis: one-time and by passenger.

Basis price is "0.00", percentage 6% and product type "Insurance", and again the flag "Keine Berechnung RRV"
Please note: The minimum amount of e.g. EUR 25.00 has not been developed yet, but will follow, please find my question regarding this part within the email itself.

    1. DaVinci – Insurance Module

The insurance module can be found within the menu <Reisen> <Versicherungsmodul>

When chosing the menu you come to the following screen in which all booking codes with the requirement "V" will be shown.

With using the right mouse button you will get the following context menu:

If you chose new you have the possibility to define different destination for which the insurance should be valid and additionally define if this is activated and default.

In my example I set both flags. Default means that this one insurance will be later on in the selection dialogue suggested as the default insurance.
Please note: At the moment you need to choose each single destination. This will be change in a way that you can easily select all and this one is valid for all destinations.
In the same way you entered the booking codes for the different types of insurances we do need a booking code called "No travel insurance", no price, no further information.
This info is required as we can then state on the invoice/order form that CNX has offered and insurance, but no insurance was taken by the passenger.

  1. Booking process

You do a "normal" booking within Genesis. If everything has been entered correctly in DaVinci regarding the insurances, it will look like this:

When doing a BA, the following screen will pop up and show all activated insurances, additionally the default one, will be ticked.

Please note: This screen will be a little bit modified; additionally the price calculation on the right hand side will be developed.
When chosing <Einfügen> the insurance service will be added to the booking

and by doing a "BA" again, the price for the insurance will be calculated.

6% of EUR 1000.00 = EUR 60.00
Please note: It might be that the price calculation will be changed a little; caused by the modification in the former screen.
If "no insurance" will be chosen, a separate service line will be generated, stating that no insurances was booked by the passenger.
