Description

The EXPERT Mask is a touristic reservation mask. The following functions can be done by using this mask:

  • Reservations with tour operators
  • Display Reservations of tour operators
  • Cancel reservations with different tour operators
  • Print reservation confirmations (DR)
  • Store EXPERT data for quick re-use and load
  • Cancel single service lines
  • Scroll forward / backward
  • Display all services from a Jack Plus reservation
  • Process automatically bookings and customer data to Jack Plus


Set-Up of the EXPERT-Mask

The EXPERT Mask is split into several Areas:

  • Status Bar (Pic. Expert Mask 1)
  • Action- and Multifunction Bar (Pic. Expert Mask 2)
  • Service Lines (Pic. Expert Mask 3)
  • Information Area (Pic. Expert Mask 4)
  • Passengers (Pic. Expert Mask 5)
  • Buttons (Pic. Expert Mask 6)
  • Address field for declarant (Pic. Expert Mask 7)


Status Bar

The status bar shows you JackPlus CRS status information, after you have send an inquiry, reservation, etc. through the button "Send" to the system CRS.


Action- and Multifunction Bar

Enter the required Actions and Tour Operator data to the Action Bar.
Additional Information can be entered to the Multifunction Bar.

< Action > (Pic. Action Bar 1)

The Filed < Action > will see codes for a vacancy request with a specific Tour Operator.
You may use the followings Codes:

B Booking (New)
BA Booking Request
BC Booking Confirm
BQ Booking on Request (to be confirmed by Tour Operator)
BR Book and Print
B? Display Sample Bookings
?B back to last Entry Mask
D Display a Reservation

<Tour Operator> (Pic. Action Bar 2)

Fill in the Tour operator code to <service provider (SP)> of the Service Provider required.

<Type of Travel> (Pic. Action Bar 3)

< Type of Travel > needs to see the Service Providers Brochure required.

< Pax > (Pic. Action Bar 4)

Enter the total amount of passengers travelling to the < PAX > field (incl. Children and Infants), up to a maximum of 18 Pax per booking.

< Agency > (Pic. Action Bar 5)

Your Agency number will automatically be entered.

< Agent > (Pic. Action Bar 6)

Enter your Agent number or Name to the < Agent > field.

< Booking > (Pic. Action Bar 7)

Enter here the booking number of the service provider to the < Booking > field. In case of new reservations this field will be fulfilled automatically.

< Scroll Forward/backward > (Pic. Action Bar 9 10)

If there is more information than on screen space available, you can have a full page scroll forward and backward.

< Multifunction Bar > (Pic. Action Bar 11)

Further Information and client request may be entered to the multifunction bar.
In conjunction with the entry "I" at < Action > (Pic. Action Bar 1), the service provider short cut (Pic. Action Bar 2) and the entry "KF" in the multifunction bar (Pic. Action Bar 11) a last minute vacancy of the service provider will be displayed.

< Destination > (Pic. Action Bar 14)

You may enter the destination from the < Destination > field.

< Language > (Pic. Action Bar 13)

You may enter the client's language from the < Language > field.


Service Line

You need to enter the required service to the service line, e.g. Flight, Hotel etc.

< M > Mark field (Pic. Service Line 1)

The following short cuts may be used in the < M > Mark field:

W with a flight service = Display further Airports for a departure date with a flight service = Display further Hotels for a destination
S Cancellation of single service lines
I with a flight service = Itinerary with a flight service = call up Hotel info system
X Display all information with this service line
L with a flight service = display special services (NEC and TOC only)

< Req > Request (Pic. Service Line 2)

The < Req > field will need to see the short cut for the required service.

The following shortcuts are available:

H Hotel, Apartment, Cruise
R Roundtrip

MW Rental cars
V Insurance
KV No Insurance required

< Service > (Pic. Service Line 4)

Enter he code for the service required to the <Service> field.

< Accommodation > (Pic. Service Line 5)

< Accommodation > will give a closer description to a specific service.

Accommodation in a flight service:
Usually there is no need to input data as they are distributed automatically.

Accommodation in a Hotel Service:
Room type and Meal services are used as per brochure.

3A LP 3-Berth Room with meal service according to program

With Special Services and /or insurances the accommodation field will remain empty.

< Occupancy > (Pic. Service Line 6)

Extra beds for children will be entered to the <Occupancy> field. The format is always "K" followed by the figure of the required extra beds / or fixed fares.
The System will identify according to the code entered and the action-code „BE", whether an extra bed or a fixed price has been requested.

Example:

K1 One extra bed or Fixed Price for one child
K3 Three extra beds or Fixed Prices for three children
H1 Half Double/Twin Room

< Number > (Pic. Service Line 7)

Usually the field <Number> will remain blank, as the system will carry the figure forward from the < PAX >. An entry is required if the amount of passengers is different from the amount of services they have booked.

Transportation Line
Escorting infants will be entered behind a „/".
For 2 Adults plus one infant the field < Number > will show: "2/1"

Accommodation Line
Escorting infants will be entered behind a „/".
For 2 Adults plus one infant the field < Number > will show: "2/1"

Special Service Line
For special Services you need to enter the correct amount of services required (e.g. Rental cars, Sports classes etc.)

Insurance line
Infants will be counted as adults

< From > (Pic. Service Line 8)

Enter the departure date in the format DDMMYY, if no year is entered the system will grap automatically the actual year.

< To > (Pic. Service Line 9)

You may enter either the Number of nights or a correct date.
For special services either the correct duration or just "1" is entered.

< Assign > (Pic. Service Line 10)

If the service is valid for all passengers you may leave the field < Assign > blank.
If not all passengers are using the service, the assignment will be done by the Position number of the Name.

Passenger Data

Please feed all Passenger data of participating passengers.

< Salutation > (Pic. Passenger data 1)

Please use one of the following short cuts for the < Salutation > field.

B Infant
K Child
D Mrs.
H Mr.
+ Passenger cancellation

< Surname/Name/Title > (Pic. Passenger data 2)

The field < Surname/Name/Title > will see the name of each passenger in separate lines.

Information

Use „/"as diverter between Surname/Name/Title ant do not use spaces at all.

Attention

For passengers having the same surname you may just enter from the second passenger onward, just "/"followed by the name. The system will copy the surname from the first passenger.

<Age/Red.> (Pic. Passenger data 3)

If a Date of Birth or an Age is required, this will be entered in the < Age/Red. > field.
In some cases an entry is mandatory:

1 for Infants (Children under the age of 2)
8 Children, age 2-11
26For Rental Car booking in the USA
45 If you are booking ½ Twin-Rooms an age is suggested

< Price > (Pic. Passenger data 4)

Here the price per passenger is automatically indicated, as soon as the reservation is concluded.

Symbol < recycle bin > (Pic. Passenger data 5)

If you click on the recycle bin behind a line, the suitable line is extinguished.
No cancellation is carried out.

< Remark > (Pic. Passenger data 6)

Customer wishes/requests are encoded by 3-figure codes. These codes are entered in the field < Remark >. Service-related and passenger-related requests are possible.
The Request is assigned to the suitable service line (L) or passenger position (T).
The appropriate input is:

T3 / 525 and ENTER Passenger 3 requires a baby bed
L2 / 512 the hotel room (service line 2) should have sea view

If you like to give several customer requests, these are separated by a comma.
L3 / 507, T5 / 595 the hotel room in line 3 should be pool side (507) and the baby from passenger position 5 requires a Baby cot (595).

One request per passenger and per service is possible.
If clients are holding flights, the requests should be entered at least 21 days prior to departure.


Address data of the declarant

The declarants address data will be added in the address area to be send to the service provider.

Information

Instead of entering the client data manually, you may call the data from JackPlus.

< PLZ > (Pic. Address 1)

Foreign cities are entered with the country code and a hyphen in front of the postcode.

Add here additional address information

Attention

We suggest entering the phone number, in case of a short term notice (e.g. Flight time change) the client can be contacted by the service provider directly.

Button < Get Client > (Pic. Address 5)

Client data can be drawn from JackPlus by clicking onto < Get Client >


Other Buttons

< Send >

Click to < Send > or use the < ENTER > Key to send all data from the EXPERT-Mask to the CRS-System.

< Load >

< Load > will call up saved EXPERT-Masks. All saved Data will be loaded to your EXPERT-Mask and can be amended or send to the system.

< Save >

Using < Save > will store a given mask including all data. You may use this function if you have call up the same data quite often.

< Hardcopy >

< Hardcopy > will provide you with a hardcopy of the booking mask.

< Reset >

< Reset > will delete all entered Data.
