System Settings




    1. Activate Retail-Business and Product types


Genesis: Retail Header information will be shown

DaVinci: Product types: Additional flag for retail services within the product types; will be queried on at different places in DaVinci. Details will be explained in another chapter of this document.

This entry will be deleted and no longer existing in the next DaVinci version as calculation will be steered by another feature which will be described in another chapter of this document.

Conditions



    1. Commission Chart

Within the commission chart you have the possibility to differ between outgoing (Agency) and incoming (Touroperator) Commission.

The entered Incoming Commission will be linked within the retail supplier and will be used for the calculation of the purchase prices. I would suggest to name the Commission table in a way that it can be differed easily between TO and Retail, e.g. RT and TO as a prefix.

Basic Data / Travels



    1. Requirements / Requirement VAT rates

This feature will be used for the purchase price calculation. Dependent on the country of the booked supplier and the VAT rate for the requirement Genesis will calculate the purchase price.

The different VAT rates will be shown as pull down menu. VAT rates are entered and will be loaded from the following menu:

    1. Product types



As mentioned in an earlier chapter already, within the product types it can be differed between Retail and TO product types. As the product types are used for the configuration/defining of, e.g. fees, commissions, rebates, etc. it is advisable to use TO and Retail, e.g. RT and TO as a prefix. Additionally for some retail feature in Davinci there was a filter implemented so that just the retail product types can be seen.

Entering of a Retail supplier in DaVinci / Add Touroperator



    1. Tab Commission



Please flag "Gives commission", this means that you act as a travel agency and that the tour operator gives you commission. Within the field <Commission Chart> you will have a pull down menu with all entered incoming commissions. Please see chapter 2 of this document.

    1. Tab Touroperator



Within the Tab Touroperator you define the accounts for the posting of the retail services. For each product type you will need the four accounts which are shown in the screenshot above. Within the column "product type" you will have a pull down menu with all product types which have the flag retail. Please see chapter 3 b.) of this document.
Please note: If you book a retail service with a specific tour operator in Genesis, you can only book the product types which are entered within the touroperator tab, otherwise you will get an error message.

<Travel> <Service/Price Profiles>



    1. Service Profiles


The service profiles are a kind of template which can be used for often booked retail services. To do so you need to enter a service profile and set the retail flag.



    1. Price Profiles


To each service profile you can assign as well a price profile. A price profile can be used as a sales and purchase price profile. Assignment to a service profile via right mouse button.

Calculation of purchase price for retail services


If you have entered all data correctly for the purchase price calculation the purchase price will be calculated automatically when entering a retail service manually.

One to one relation between Sales Office, Agency and User


You need to set the following flags within the system setting in DaVinci to activate the one to one relation.
10.1. Settings

  1. Sales office mandatory in login


You need to choose a sales office with logging in to DaVinci. If you do not enter a sales office, you will get the shown message below and you can not login. Administrators can login without a sales office.When chosing the wrong sales office you will get the following message:


  1. Sales office is read only


This setting has the effect that the sales office in Genesis is read only for all employees independent from the user rights. It should just be used if this setting should be for all employees and not changeable. If this is not the case, then please see user rights on the next page. Please see screenshot below:

Agency can still be changed manually.
10.2.User rights
Please note that the user rights work as following: If the flag is not set, the user has the right, if you tick the flag the user does not have the right.

  1. Genesis – Agency changeable



The user "ALEFR1" does not have the right to change the agency, therefore the agency field in Genesis is read only.

  1. Genesis – Sales Office changeable



Please note that this user right does only have effect if you have not flag the entry "Sales office read only" in the settings.
