Setup Departure Dates

In the previous lesson a Sales Flight Booking Code was created:
ARN RHO - Stockholm to Rhodes
Departure dates and the day/s of the week a client can travel appear in Kuoni brochures, for example, a flight from Stockholm to Rhodes with SAS Charter Services may depart on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Departure dates need to be setup in the system to enable reservations to make bookings.
Step-by-Step: Setup Departure Dates
The flight rotation will now be setup. A range of departure dates between 1st November 2010 and the 31st October 2011 departing every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

  1. Select Travel > Services
  2. Select CATALOGUE 12/13 > Europe > South East Europe > Greece > Rhodes > Sales Flights > Outbound.
  3. Select the ARN RHO Booking Code.
  4. Select the Flight tab.
  5. Select Main outbound flight [H] from the Type field.
  6. Select Nonstop from the Type field.


To define the Departure Dates and sales rotation:

  1. Select the Departure Dates tab.



  1. Select Create Dates.


The Set departure terms screen is displayed. This screen is used to create a Sales Rotation. In this example a rotation will be created every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the 01.11.2010 and the 31.10.2011

  1. Enter ARN RHO in the Name field.
  2. Enter 01112012 in the Date field.
  3. Enter 31102013 in the Date field.
  4. Check the days of the week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  5. Select Add Terms.



A date for every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between the 01.11.2012 and the 31.10.2013 will appear within the Departure Dates area of the screen.

  1. Select OK


The rotation is saved.




The newly created Flight Rotation header (ARN RHO) is automatically assigned to the booking code and referenced in the Rotation field.
Select Edit Dates to make changes to the rotation.

Edit Flight Rotation Dates

Discussion
Once a Sales Flight Rotation has been created it can be edited. In this example we have been notified that departure dates will not be available on the 3rd November and the 8th November, these departure dates need to be removed from the rotation.
Step-by-Step: Edit Flight Rotation Dates
From the Flights tab of the Booking Code:

  1. Select Edit Dates.


In this example the 03.11.2012 and the 08.11.2012 need to be deleted.

  1. Select the 03.11.2012 row.
  2. Hold the CTRL and select the 08.11.2012 row.
  3. Select Delete Dates.



Flight terms cannot be deleted if a booking has already been made. The following warning will appear:

 

 



Step-by-Step: Delete Sales Rotation Dates
To delete an entire Sales Rotation:
From the Flights tab of the Booking Code:

  1. Select Delete all terms.


A warning message is displayed.

  1. Select Yes to confirm deletion.
