Age Profile
The age profile is a very important feature in DaVinci.
With his help the touroperator can define which participant type (baby, child…) depends on a specific age.
If the touroperator decide to use this functionality he can block bookings which contains participant with a wrong age.
But although some settings in price rule depends on the settings in age profile.
Setup the Age Profile
The user is able to setup several age profiles:
623451
- Name
Here the user can name the age profile
- Type
This is the participant type (in Genesis bookingmask the field "Title")
- Age from
Here the user can define from which age the participant is that kind of type
- Age to
Here the user can define up to which age the participant is that kind of type
- Check
If this flag is set, an age check is enabled in Genesis. It will check if the participant type have the correct age.
- Reservation
Enable age profiles (System, catalogue and booking code)
The user is able to setup an age profile for the whole Database:
This age profile is guilty for all bookings which where made within this database.
The user is able to setup an age profile in catalogue level:
This age profile is guilty for all bookings within this catalogue.
The user is able to setup an age profile in booking code:
This age profile is guilty for all bookings which contains this booking code.
Functionality
The age check in Genesis
If the setting "Check" is flagged in age profile, this functionality is enabled.
If enabled the user have not the possibility to book a participant in Genesis, which have not his right age (which is setuped in age profile)
For Example:
In Age profile a child is defined from 2 to 11 years.
That means that the user is only able to book a pax with title "C" if an age is entered between 2 and the end of 11 years.
If the user did not enter an age at all, Genesis shows an error message.
The participant type check in price rules
This check will be done if an age profile is enabled and some settings are activated in price rule.
In this case GenVas will check the age and not the title.
That means he will have a look in the age profile and check which title is depending on the age of the participant in Genesis, and then decide which type this participant will be.
