Unit - Rules

One possibility to set up a price rule is that certain restriction on base of units booked in Genesis can be set up.

From – Till Units


The FROM - TILL Restriction allows to declare the number of units that need to be booked so that a certain rule will be fired.

Assignment of the rule with Calculation Type Unit / Absolute
Example: Rule is only fired when ONE unit is booked in one file.





Example: RULE ISN'T FIRED if 2 units are booked in one file. Scenario 1: 2 units in one line



Scenario 2: 1 unit in two lines




Amount Service


The Amount Service Field allows to restrict the number of service lines for taking the rule

Assignment of the rule with Calculation Type Unit / Nights

Example:
The rule will only be taken when there are 2 service-lines of the service booked in one file.
Scenario 1: 2 units booked in 2 service lines








Scenario 2: 3 units booked in 2 service lines





Example: RULE ISN'T FIRED if more than 3 units are booked in more/less than two service lines.
Scenario 1: 3 units booked in 1 service line







Scenario 2: 4 units booked in 2 service lines




Each / Once per booking

The field 'Each' allows to restrict that the rule only applies for every X unit of the From – Till Range.

Assignment of the rule with Calculation Type Unit / Percent

Example:
If 1 to 4 units are booked in one service line the rule will be taken for every 2nd of those units.
Scenario 1: 2 units booked in 1 service lines









Scenario 2: 4 units booked in 1 service lines


Example: RULE ISN'T FIRED if 1 to 4 units are booked in more than one service line


Once per booking


The checkbox 'Once per booking' is not supported by any system logic.







Important for Unit – Rules


In case of the unit-related rules the calculation of prices strongly requires an exact and logic set-up and correspondence of the TYPES of PRICES and the TYPES of PRI CERULES.

Calculation Type

The calculation type of the price to which the rule is related should be based on UNIT

Type

The price coming out of the rule should also be calculated on UNIT-base
